Interesting! Lots of fun things happening. So- as a note- all your little pieces as laid out would be in the same mold, but would cast as separate components. Does that make sense? The surface of the board will be the top of the mold, and anything elevated from the board will create the recessed area into which you will cast. So if you wanted them to cast as a single unit/ object/ entity, you will need to physically connect them with something elevated off the surface of the board- like a base layer of clay or cardboard or something like that. Does that make sense? You could also keep them as separate entities- so you would have little individual objects that you could reconfigure and move around to make infinitely variable compositions.
